RXI delivered a fully equipped Ford Transit Custom SWB for one of our valued clients, designed to maximise storage efficiency, safety, and day-to-day operational performance. Featuring heavy-duty Shelvex shelving, a dedicated Storagetek cabinet, a full hygiene kit and a rear workbench fitted with a high-strength composite surface, this build provides a reliable and functional mobile workspace. LED lighting, integrated safety equipment, and a full parts bin system ensure the vehicle is ready for demanding municipal field operations.
Key Requirements
- Mesh cargo barrier installed behind the factory bulkhead to meet safety and compliance requirements.
- Heavy-duty 5mm ribbed rubber flooring with aluminium edge protection for enhanced durability in the rear work area.
- Shelvex steel shelving system including:
- – Two 1250H x 435D shelving bays with 3 adjustable shelves (1080L) on the driver side.
- – One 1250H x 435D shelving bay with 4 shelves and wheel-arch cutouts (800L) on the passenger side.
- Storagetek cabinet with five removable lid cases mounted on an RXI-engineered support frame.
- Total Hygiene Kit including 10L water carrier with tap, soap and towel dispensers, and mounting hardware.
- Rear workbench assembly featuring a high-strength composite surface (445 × 400 × 760mm) with an Irwin Record 100mm heavy-duty vice.
- LED interior strip lighting (3 × 300mm lamps) for improved visibility during enclosed work operations.
- Comprehensive parts bin package:
- 18 × 400×117×90mm bins
- 12 × 400×235×90mm bins
- 26 × 300×117×90mm bins
- Safety additions: 1kg ABE fire extinguisher with bracket and PV1 first aid kit.
- Light-duty tie-down rings installed for additional load securing and equipment restraint.
