RXI Group delivered a purpose-built Ford Ranger super duty dual cab service body for a utility service company specific for energy industry, engineered to support utility field operations across Queensland.
The build features a powered Canopex® aluminium service body, extensive internal and underbody storage systems, and a fully integrated lithium-powered electrical setup. With organised drawer solutions, onboard refrigeration, enhanced lighting, and compliant access systems, this vehicle is designed to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability in demanding work environments.
Designed for high-performance utility operations, this Ford Ranger Super Duty service body combines a powered 3-door Canopex body with advanced storage and electrical integration. The fitout includes modular drawer systems, shelving, underbody storage, and a high-capacity lithium power solution, supporting efficient equipment access and extended field capability. Built for durability and daily use, this solution delivers a compliant and reliable mobile workspace for energy service teams.
Key Requirements
- Full aluminium Canopex 3-door service body (1800L x 1950W x 1000H) with powered split side doors and powered rear door, finished in colour-matched 2Pak paint.
- Compliant mounting system to suit Ford Ranger Super Duty Dual Cab, including integrated fuel filler assembly, mudguards, and mudflaps.
- Upgraded full-width tail light channel with integrated tail lamps and provision for reverse sensor fitment.
- 1600L aluminium underbody drawer unit with aluminium worktop, providing secure and accessible external storage.
- Additional aluminium underbody storage boxes on both driver and passenger sides to maximise usable space.
- CargoMODx drawer systems including a 5-drawer unit, single drawers, and a 3-drawer unit with rubber drawer liners for organised internal storage.
- FlexiShelf shelving system with rubber inserts to support structured equipment storage within the service body.
- Integrated drawer fridge with protective cover and overhead storage cabinet for field use.
- E-Pac 3-door electrical system including central locking, LED interior roof lighting, door alert switches, and audible warning buzzer.
- Swivel LED interior lights and heavy-duty external LED work lights to improve visibility during low-light operations.
- Dual battery system featuring a 230Ah slimline lithium battery, Redarc 50A BCDC charger, USB outlets, and electrical false wall integration.
