Full Service Body Fitout with Safety, Storage & Electrical Integration
RXI delivered a custom service body fitout for CH Auto’s Toyota Hilux Extra Cab, built to support mining and service operations in regional Queensland. Designed for functionality, the vehicle includes fully integrated shelving, small parts trays, dual drawer pods, and a heavy-duty vice for field repairs. The electrical setup features a beacon-linked mining light bar, reverse alarm, internal lighting, and Anderson plugs—ensuring reliable performance on site. Safety equipment like fire extinguishers, wheel chocks, and mine-compliant signage complete this rugged and fully equipped mobile work platform.
Key Requirements
- The aluminium service body measures 2100L x 1850W x 1000H, finished in white 2K polyurethane with gullwing side doors, standard rear door, mudguards, and tailored mounting for tail lights and number plate.
- The internal fitout includes a full small-parts tray and shelving system, a RolaCase drawer unit, and a folding heavy-duty vice with 4" jaw—all optimised for mobile maintenance work.
- On the driver's side, two 5-drawer pod assemblies are integrated with a fixed shelf and rear back panel for secure storage, allowing quick access to tools and parts.
- Electrical systems include a full E-Pac Kit (LED lighting, central locking, door alerts), mining light bar with integrated reverse alarm, auxiliary sockets, Anderson plugs, and relocation of the vehicle’s OEM reverse camera.
- Safety features include fire extinguishers with brackets, wheel nut indicators, dual wheel chocks, and a mining safety flag kit.
- Exterior upgrades include roof bars, rubber floor lining, internal water tank with soap dispenser, and full call-sign vehicle signage.
