    SEQ Water Fitout – Tool Storage, Safety, Electrical & Access Upgrades

RXI delivered a fully equipped Toyota HiAce LWB fitout for Ventia under the SEQ Water program, transforming the vehicle into a reliable field service van. The build includes custom shelving, durable floor systems, lighting, and full safety compliance gear, with added functionality through a roof rack, ladder slides, reverse camera, and RAM laptop mount. The internal power setup supports auxiliary equipment, while high-visibility features such as hazard flashers and decals ensure the van is ready for daily use across utilities operations.

Key Requirements
  • The HiAce LWB was fitted with custom Shelvex shelving panels and bays, featuring 3-tier adjustable shelves, lockable units, and marine plywood and rubber flooring to organise tools and protect the cargo space.
  • Safety features included an anti-vapour barrier, 1.5kg fire extinguisher, heavy vehicle first aid kit, reverse beeper, wheel nut indicators, and rear camera with a 9.66” mirror monitor display for constant visibility.
  • Electrical systems were upgraded with four 300mm LED strip lights, amber hazard flashers (with in-cab switch), E-Pac LED lighting and alerts, auxiliary sockets, Anderson plugs, and relocation of factory reverse sensors.
  • Exterior utility enhancements included a heavy-duty 3-bar Rhino roof rack, two 3.0m ladder slides with rollers, a stainless-steel shovel tray, Telstra tow step with integrated heavy-duty towbar, and full decal kit for Ventia.
  • Interior features included Black Duck canvas seat covers, 3D floor mats, a universal RAM laptop mount, 10L handwash system with mount, and a jump-start receptacle system to support field operations.
