Canopex Full Body 4-Door Service Body Fitout with Electrical, Storage & Safety Upgrades
RXI delivered a fully customised Toyota Hilux Extra Cab for Champion X, designed to meet the demands of mining and field operations. The fitout features a 4-door Canopex aluminium service body with powered access, inverter-based electrical system, dual battery setup, and advanced storage solutions. With integrated lighting, central locking, and safety features like beacons and fire protection, this build ensures reliable, compliant, and efficient operation across industrial environments.
Key Requirements
- Canopex full body 4-door aluminium service body (2100L x 1850W x 900H) with powered gullwing side doors, powered rear door, compliant mounting kit, and colour-matched 2Pak finish.
- Advanced internal layout featuring a dual Cargosturdy aluminium drawer system (800L x 450W x 260H), bunded tray assembly, sealed lateral divider, and FlexiShelf shelving with anti-slip rubber mats.
- Electrical integration included a dual battery system with 100Ah AGM battery and Redarc BCDC 25A charger, 1000W Projecta pure sine inverter, and a 4-door E-Pac kit providing central locking, LED lighting, and door alerts.
- Safety and compliance systems included high-mount LED stop/tail/indicator lights, rotating amber beacon with low-profile mount, reflective hi-vis decals, and fire extinguisher provisions.
- Field functionality enhanced by a heavy-duty folding vice mount with 4" Irwin Record vice, 23L undertray water tank with soap dispenser, underbody battery box with venting, and cargo tie-down anchor tracks.
- Protective features included full rubber matting, mudguards, and mudflaps to safeguard the tray and equipment areas.
